interview is going to be very friendly bcoz u r just in 9th std..

I attended the interview at Delhi.
It was not that I had to go to different judges at different tables
All of them (4) were sitting on a bench...and the interview lasted for about 10-15 minutes....
I was asked general questions
first of all, regarding the nuclear deal....
the CTBT...the arm's race
then i was asked to throw some light on secularism in india
And yes, i was asked to introduce myself....and then based on my introduction was asked.....what do you fell is more important....emotions or thinking with brain (rational thiking)....
The site was of immense help to me....

message: i am from pune. i was in 10th std. i had my interview yesterday in pune 4 std X. thanks 4 starting this site. helped me with the nerves.
they r just asking about ambition. i had 2 recognise the marked states in indian map. They had marked bangladesh too. describe these states in 3-4 sentences. no maths. no history. economics about globalisation, privatisation, liberalisation. civicss rights & duties. stuff about reservation (where, why &why called schedulded)
nuke deal, trust vote, statement of ohms law right hand rule &eg of non-ohmic conductors. bio-equation of respiration & photosynthesis, classification of plants & difference between plants & humans.
They are asking from the state textbooks & not ncert ones. They r holding the book in their hands & askinng.
Since i was the last one in my batch they took my interview only 4 10 mins. others were for 45mins (they were too eager 2 go home)
i came to know about ur site in yahoo answers
one more thing is that the guy before me said that he wanted to become an industrialist. she asked what his father did. He said that his dad was an industrialist. So one man said, "So u r gonna start a business with ur dads money and not do anything on ur own"
Also they didnt want anything common 4 ambition.
also when they saw my biodata in my i had written that i m a potter fan. So they asked me why i like it & what values can u learn. Of course i could answer this though they didnt expect me to.

my ntse interview was quite easy
i am a mumbaian, so my centre was in pune. the guys asked me some basic fact/information of mahaashtra for eg. name any pass in the sahyadri,where is antivenom lab. situated,what is the importance of khyber pass. also they asked a lot about my hobbies and my ambition. i had written that 1 of my hobbies was drawing cartoons so they asked me to draw one in front of them.then they asked me what does it signify(i told style and strength) and they seemed impressed. they asked me the name of a famous cartoonist (r.k.laxman) and asked me why i didnt draw like him( i told that it is too political)(they laughed).then they asked me the name of any famous civil engineer(i told that civil engineer dont become famous)(they laughed). they even asked me 4 maths problems(they allowed me only to solve them halfway).........they were quite easy....also you should remember to know each of ur certificate in ur file and the exam organiser in case they ask(they asked me) also if going by road remember atleast one or two of the passes you cross(they asked me) and the number of kms and the duration of the journey excluding halts(approx.)
all i think about it that one needs to remain cool and not nervous(u might accidentaly shake ur hands/legs)and PLZ do not yell at the top of ur voice(one girl was doing so and the interviewers seemed very displeased[almost in agony]
and wear formal/semiformal clothes
and BE YOURSELF(just slightly more in control of yourselves)
